It went through numerous iterations and it grew in popularity to become one of the most popular first-person shooters of all time. During the fifth beta Valve Software decided to get involved and eventually purchased the rights to the game. Retail release On August 31, it was announced that Counter-Strike would be released as a retail product in addition to also being available as a mod for Half-Life. One of these issues was the weapon names. They were changed to bogus names in order to avoid legal issues. Some textures were found to have dubious origins and they had to be remade or censored, which lead to some changes in maps for the retail release. For the maps that weren’t purchased by Valve, Minh Le decided to reimburse the authors out of his own pockets despite him having no obligation to do so. Three new weapons were modeled for the release by Minh Le.
It is an opportunity for us to reflect on the language and ideas that represented each year. So, take a stroll down memory lane to remember all of our past Word of the Year selections. Change It wasn’t trendy , funny, nor was it coined on Twitter , but we thought change told a real story about how our users defined Unlike in , change was no longer a campaign slogan. Mar 07, · The matchmaking needs work, as do some of the tanks, but otherwise it’s a fun time sink. Currently working my way down the U.S. Light Tank division, heading towards an M7 Medium Tank – in case anyone was wondering.
Posting is light, because interesting milestones in World of Tanks are light. Ready to buy the T25 AT Which removes the Jackson from my primary list, hopefully making grinding a bit faster for the rest of the tanks. Am I buying the TD? The double weekend crew XP was certainly welcome, but not really noticed among the frantic rush to grab quintuples. And the Stuart has 37k of the 56k needed to unlock the Chaffee. So there was progress made.
One thing I did also do over the weekend — was bolster my stable of premium, training tanks. You shall bounce every shot sent my way!

Online multiplayer video games have become particularly popular due, at least in part, to the ability of players to compete with multiple other human players. Popular genres of multiplayer games include the first-person-shooter FPS and the third-person shooter genres. In FPS games, the player’s on-screen view simulates the view of the character or vehicle controlled by the player; that is, the first-person view. The object of many FPS games is to accomplish a goal within a game.
Common goals include killing other game characters that represent other players, capturing flags that represent opponents’ territory, assaulting another team’s base, and the like. Third person shooter games often have similar goals but differ in the perspective of the player.
Mar 18, · Ive been playing the M3 Stuart a lot and I really enjoy it, I still tend to die a lot but zipping around scouting is fun. If you are finding that you like zippy tanks, a tier 3 that is definitely.
Accidental Innuendo — Penetration! A forum signature states it nicely: World of Tanks is the only game where you can say “I penetrated him” without everyone thinking you’re gay. Awesome Music — This song sometimes plays on the loading screen and during the countdown. It is one example of many things that make this game Awesome. Artillery in the game can get a decent degree of accuracy from across the map, often hitting tanks which are slowly moving or not moving at all.
Since the early days of the Closed Beta, artillery accuracy, penetration, splash damage, shell travel times, and accuracy penalties for moving have all been nerfed, and some people still think they’re overpowered. Artillery can be infuriating for those who do not understand that their purpose is to introduce a new threat to being spotted – getting OHK’d for taking inadequate cover.
Added the new winter map, “Glacier”. Changes to the Graphics and Effects The new water has been added to all maps; now it varies: Added new effects on all maps: Added realistic shell tracers. Reworked all vehicle effects: Completely reworked the effect of shells hitting various terrain types:
M3 Stuart at Fort Knox, Kentucky, used for training. The Stuart was an upgrade of the M2 Light Tank. The Battle of France gave momentum to the US tank program because US observers saw how easily British and French light tanks were decimated by German Panzers, and in July work began on a new light tank based on the M2 series.
They promise a job – but first you must pay. Please do not send money via Western Union. A painful duty – Exposing the British and Irish connection. What happened to my money? All fraud victims should read this. Many victims seem to have been contacted by the scammers as a result of them putting up a CV at sites like Monster. The use of a Monster address in a fraud mail may simply indicate an attempt at deception.
The criminals often use the titles of genuine companies in their scam mailings. Some will appear below, but of course these companies have no relationship with the scammers, they are just another category of victim. The criminals will also place fake job advertisements in local newspapers. If you become aware of these, please complain to the newspapers.
You can let them know that they will probably not get paid for the space. Global Oil Company Limited, recruitere yandex.

Authored by Staff Writer. The “tank” received its baptism of fire in World War 1 as large, cumbersome lozenge-shaped tracked vehicles lumbering about the pock-marked battlefields. Back then, they were known as “landships” and few truly realized their vast warfare potential.

SHARE Although studying creativity is considered a legitimate scientific discipline nowadays, it is still a very young one. In the early s, a psychologist named J. Guilford was one of the first academic researchers who dared to conduct a study of creativity. He challenged research subjects to connect all nine dots using just four straight lines without lifting their pencils from the page.
Today many people are familiar with this puzzle and its solution. In the s, however, very few were even aware of its existence, even though it had been around for almost a century. If you have tried solving this puzzle, you can confirm that your first attempts usually involve sketching lines inside the imaginary square. The correct solution, however, requires you to draw lines that extend beyond the area defined by the dots. Only 20 percent managed to break out of the illusory confinement and continue their lines in the white space surrounding the dots.
The symmetry, the beautiful simplicity of the solution, and the fact that 80 percent of the participants were effectively blinded by the boundaries of the square led Guilford and the readers of his books to leap to the sweeping conclusion that creativity requires you to go outside the box. The idea went viral via s-era media and word of mouth, of course. Overnight, it seemed that creativity gurus everywhere were teaching managers how to think outside the box.
Management consultants in the s and s even used this puzzle when making sales pitches to prospective clients. Because the solution is, in hindsight, deceptively simple, clients tended to admit they should have thought of it themselves.
I’m still playing, although not as fast as in the beta. Since the wipe and release I’m taking it easy and kind of waiting for the US Tank Destroyer tree to try something new. I also am not spending money on the game and without premium things go notably slower. In the beta I had lots of fun with my fully upgraded IS

Welcome to Tank Tears , a series where we pit two tanks of similar stats against one another and see which one comes out on top. This is excellent for players who are looking at what tank to play next or even those who are trying to figure out some of the best tank lines in World of Tanks. Due to this thickness, the Cruiser Mk II is capable of taking a hull down position to maximize its survivability. When in a hull down position, ensure the hull is facing the enemy, so if they do manage to land a shot on your hull, the strong frontal armor will take most of the damage.
Though the Howitzer has high alpha damage and can one-hit a lot of tanks, it takes a significant amount of time to reload and offers extremely poor accuracy, aim time, and shell velocity. While the base gun offers good depression, the more powerful upgrade of the Howitzer does suffer from poor depression and dispersion—making it more difficult to use at certain elevations and distances. Despite this, the Howitzer is arguably the best gun to use on the Cruiser thanks to its high alpha damage.
A good strategy to employ is to focus on single targets, landing shots and then moving behind cover to wait out the long reload times. M3 Stuart The M3 Stuart boasts one of the faster movement speeds, allowing it to get into ideal positions quickly. The designs of the M3 Stuart were essentially an upgrade of the M2 that used thicker armor, modified suspension and a new gun recoil system.
As far as weapon selection goes, the M3 Stuart has a few good choices, with the M6 being the pinnacle, offering an array of benefits such as accuracy, rate of fire, and aim time.

Now, we are going to have a look at this interesting piece of engineering, its history and historical performance. Ever since , the US Army started to look for its new future light tank. Sure, there was the Chaffee, but the army was looking for something that would pack a bigger punch. The production of the Chaffee ended in August with roughly 4. Meanwhile, between January and November , an army equipment committee convened twice, each time recommending a new tank development.
In the eyes of the committee, this new light tank should have better firepower and mobility than the M24 and should be armed with a 76mm 3in gun, capable of penetrating mm of armor 5in , sloped at 30 degrees at meters yards. The vehicle was to weigh 25 tons.
